Batteries should be shielded from Excessive Environmental Exposure. Heat, Direct Sunshine, Low Humidity, Flames, Brine, Ammonia, Alkali, Acid, Volatile Liquids. Provide an extra cover that protects and keeps battery cool and dry.
Rechargeable devices should go into cyclic charging or trickle charge if left plugged into charger. This is to prevent overcharge. From Laptops to Rechargeable Table-lamps, many keep the devices plugged on allways.
The New affordable HandHeld Game Consoles for Vintage 8 bit games have most of the 80s 90s arcade games. I like to just hear the sounds of the Galaxian.
Do not use Fast Chargers on the old Devices. Fast Chargers can go to 9V and !2V which damage older devices that are meant for only 5V. Use only the charger supplied by the device maker when possible.
